United Front Entertainment, Breakthrough Entertainment, & Black Fawn Distribution Join Forces To Unleash A New Breed Of Terror From Black Fawn Films!
United Front Entertainment has acquired the Canadian digital and home entertainment rights from Breakthrough Entertainment to distribute the visceral body-horror feature BITE. United Front and Breakthrough will also be partnering with Black Fawn Distribution to help bring the sting home to horror fans across Canada. Directed by Chad Archibald (The Drownsman), produced by Black Fawn Films (Antisocial, The Sublet, Bed of the Dead), and distributed worldwide by Breakthrough Entertainment, Bite had a sensational world premiere at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival, where it took home on of the festival’s coveted audience awards. Bite wnet on to screen at some of the most well-renowned festivals in the world, including SITGES (Spain), Fright Fest (United Kingdom), Blood in the Snow (Toronto, Canada), and Frightmare Fest (Texas, United States). Sticky and stomach-churning, Bite is destined to become a body-horror classic and will have horror fans everywhere itching for more.
SYNOPSIS — While on her bachelorette party getaway, bride-to-be Casey (Elma Begovic) gets a seemingly harmless bite from an unknown insect. After returning home with cold feet, Casey tries to call off her wedding but, before she’s able to, she starts exhibiting insect-like traits. Between her physical transformation and her wedding anxiety, Casey succumbs to her horrifying new instincts. As her metamorphosis becomes complete, Casey and all who cross her path discover that everything can change with a single bite.
The film stars Elma Begovic, Annette Wozniak, Denise Yuen, Jordan Gray, Lawrence Denkers, Barry Birnberg, Daniel Klimitz, Tianna Nori, and Caroline Palmer. Bite is directed by Chad Archibald and produced by Black Fawn Films.
This skin-crawling chronicle of one woman’s truly terrifying descent into madness makes its Digital Debut August 2, 2016, followed by its DVD and Blu-ray release on September 6, 2016, from United Front Entertainment and Black Fawn Distribution.
This visceral body-horror feature also includes an audio commentary track from the filmmakers themselves, as well as five behind-the-scenes documentary featurettes about the special effects, the makeup, creating the sets, and more!
