One step closer to puppet horror realization, Elmwood Productions upcoming horror film HEAD has finished principal photography!

HEAD – Coming Soon from Elmwood Productions

HEAD is a throwback to the 70’s and 80’s Grindhouse B-horror film. What could be better than a weekend camping retreat with your friends? What could be worse than finding out the woods where you’re setting up camp was the site of a brutal mass murder from the decade before? Four young men and women are about to find out more than they ever bargained for in HEAD. Instead of playing it with human actors, the guys at Elmwood productions are shooting with puppets (because they’re Elmwood!). However, they’re using those puppets outside of the conventional “puppet” world; they’re not “puppets” in this film – they’re people.

When is the last time you saw a puppet play it straight?

Principal photography is wrapped, and they hope to have the film ready in early 2015.

Back on October 8, Elmwood Productions met their goal plus a little extra for their Kickstarter campaign for their horror project Head. $3,300 of a $3,000 goal was made! This money will go towards any extra production costs (reimbursement for equipment purchased), post production costs, marketing, and distribution. Also, they’ll be using anything left after that to purchase more supplies and new equipment to keep Elmwood Productions going; after all, video and filmmaking technology is ever evolving, getting even better every day…and these guys have been self-financing their projects for over a decade.

For more info about this project, check out their production blog here, and you can visit the Elmwood Productions website here.

Thanks to all of you Fellow Fans out there that contributed to making this one happen; with the passion and dedication the folks at Elmwood have put in, I for one am looking forward to it!

Oh, I almost forgot, I really dig horror movies; new ones, old ones, it matters not; I love 'em. Husband, father, veteran and scribbler. I like bacon as well. The Mouse abides 😉
