Murder City Cult – Cyberpunk Miniseries Coming Soon

MURDER CITY CULT is a kinetic and unconventional punk Sci-Fi/Fantasy miniseries written and directed by Scott Thomas Jenner.

A killer’s mind is trapped inside Murder City: A closed-circuit system of omnipotent cybernetic surveillance. Existence is monitored. Free will is restrained.

These three, 22-minute episodes plot the viewer within the Murder City system at the moment of an uncontrollable phenomenon. Citizens turned to murder are suddenly afflicted with a sickness and mutation that yields superhuman abilities. Each new episode begins with a different murder, setting the killers against an amorphous, underground surveillance system that campaigns for control over their mutant superpowers.

In three separate parts, the film connects a viewer to the world as a “circuit system”; where each story aligns the world’s construction in connection to the fate of our heroes. The power of our protagonists relies on a greater awareness of the network that lays ahead of them.

The D.I.Y. production team at Murder City Video is seeking the funds to produce the first three full-length episodes in the series.

Murder City Cult episode 2: “A Signal Disease”
episode 3: “Source // Self”
episode 4: “Now You Are My Enemy”

Each episode will be produced on approximately $1000 dollars budget each, which goes towards:

Prop and Costume Design: 25%
Gear rental (lights, lenses, rigs, etc): 40%
Food and Drink: 20%
Other necessities and promotion: 15%

*$500 in Indiegogo fees, promo materials & shipping.

Any money raised beyond the funding goal goes entirely towards paying our actors and volunteer crew. Production begins immediately upon reaching funding goal. All three episodes are set for independent distribution in 2016.
