Friday’s episode of Z Nation, called “Full Metal Zombie,” will feature zombie genre and horror veteran Bill Moseley as General McCandles, a mysterious leader who controls a high-rise full of zombies. Moseley, known for roles in THE DEVIL’S REJECTS and ARMY OF DARKNESS, is a career horror veteran and a welcome addition to Z Nation’s ensemble.

In “Full Metal Zombie,” Moseley plays General McCandles, the last officer standing at what used to be Central Command of the US Armed Forces. When the z-pocalypse hit, he took charge of the Army on the East Coast. In Friday’s episode, Citizen Z directs the team to a helicopter rumored to be parked atop a zombie-filled skyscraper controlled by the General.

“Bill [Moseley] is at his best in ‘Full Metal Zombie,’” says producer David Michael Latt of The Asylum, adding, “He is the most deranged, bad-ass general to ever survive a zombie apocalypse.”

Z Nation premiered as Syfy’s highest-rated acquired scripted series premiere since Dr. Who in 2006 and was the network’s most social acquisition ever. The pilot, “Puppies and Kittens,” won the 10pm timeslot for Syfy, outperforming AMC’s Turn and Halt and Catch Fire as well as TNT’s Legends, WGNA’s Salem, and Outlander on Starz. The second episode drew more viewers than the first in both the US and Canada (where it airs on Space), and the show continues to draw high viewerships and young-skewing audiences.

Z Nation is produced by The Asylum and airs Friday nights at 10pm on Syfy.
