SYNOPSIS — After losing his job and marriage, a middle aged office worker combats mid-life crisis by kidnapping his bosses teenage daughter. But the abduction does not go to plan and he soon finds himself victim to an unexpected orgy of revenge and violence.

Born in Spain but raised in Argentina, Adrian Garcia Bogliano has been at the forefront of Latin American genre films for the past decade with titles including PENUMBRA, COLD SWEAT, HERE COMES THE DEVIL and his first English language film LATE PHASES. EVIL GAMES marks a return to his native Spanish language and a return to the acclaim of his previous films with a World premiere at Tribeca and Best Film awards at Grossmann and Dead Lake Fantastic Film Festivals in Slovenia and Serbia.

UK genre stalwart Kim Newman said after the UK premiere at FrightFest “Bogliano is shaping up as a modern master, showing an increasing and effective combination of genre thrills and character exploration”.

EVIL GAMES is the latest in a strand of Latin American genre films to be released in the UK by Matchbox Films and Jinga Films including PARA ELISA, THE ENTITY, FACE OF THE DEVIL, HONEYMOON and THE HOUSE AT THE END OF TIME.

In support of its UK release on DVD and VOD, EVIL GAMES will screen at Cambridge Film Festival and Cine Excess in Birmingham.

Oh, I almost forgot, I really dig horror movies; new ones, old ones, it matters not; I love 'em. Husband, father, veteran and scribbler. I like bacon as well. The Mouse abides 😉
