With the catastrophe named Annabelle and fewer and fewer horror movies giving off new original material, I found it refreshing to hear that Conjuring 2 will be hitting the masses with a new release date.
Some details have unfolded that have me giddy with joy. I have seen such a turbulent force of really, really bad horror films in the past few months and I am so disappointed with the nonexistence of original story lines. But Conjuring was the type of film that really personified the horror genre with a new take on the supernatural.
Warner Brothers has officially set a date for June 10, 2016 for The Conjuring 2: The Endfield Poltergeist. The movie comes as a sequel to its highly popular and successful horror film, The Conjuring. The original air date for the film was slated for Halloween 2015.
Set to return as the director is the original man in charge, James Wan, and he has streamlined The Hayes brother’s, Chad and Carey to develop the story yet again.
The Conjuring was based on the paranormal investigations of Ed and Lorraine Warren. Certainly dabbling in the paranormal is harrowing to say the least. But the case of the Perron family and the ghostly happenings that were going on in their farmhouse was an experience that the Warren’s would be one they would never forget. The sequel will continue in the same track – showcasing the numerous investigations that the couple were part of.
Not too many details have emerged, but stay tuned as more project information is leaked.
