WE’RE BAAAAACK! The ‘Corpse At DAYS OF THE DEAD ATLANTA

Our setup…we hadda sell SOMETHING to get folks to stop by…oh, and pay no attention to that guy with the beer…

For those of you Fine Fellow Fans out there that wonder why the hell we didn’t post any content on the seventh, eighth, or ninth of this month (and we hope it’s not wishful thinking that some of you pay that much attention!), it’s because we packed up the whole kit and kaboodle and headed out to Atlanta for the 2015 Days of the Dead horror-con.

We found ourselves surrounded by a lot of like-minded horror-type folks, offering wares that covered t-shirts, jewelry, DVDs, movie props, toys…you name it.  Of course, no convention would be complete without guests, and we were rubbing elbows with some icons of our favorite genre:  Kane Hodder, Tiffany Shepis, Bill Moseley, P.J. Soles, William Forsythe, Leslie Easterbrook, Sid Haig, Tony Todd…even the Tall Man himself, Angus Scrimm, sat very near to where Chad and I were set up.  We were directly across from the American Werewolf himself, David Naughton, and right next to Daeg Faerch, and those were just the ones close to us; there was an impressive list of other guests spread across the two rooms that the con encompassed.

Besides these staples of horror, there was also quite a representation of one of our very most favorite things here at LeglessCorpse; indie filmmakers.  Amongst these, the fine folks that brought you Attack of the Morningside Monster were there, as well as the makers of our choice of best horror of 2014, Pieces of Talent (which, if you follow us on Twitter, you’ll know we sat in on a screening of; awesomeness).  We met up with some new folks, and were finally able to put faces with the names of people we’d only known as words on a screen up till then.

That said, I’d like to take this opportunity to shout out to indie actor/writer/producer/director Shelby McIntyre and CultMovieMania, Pieces of Talent writer/director Joe Stauffer and actress Kristi Ray, Ron McLellan, Bob and Bruce of Slasher Marketing, Chris Woods of The Sleazebox.com, and Stephen and Lee Nemeth of Sadistic Cinema; glad to meet you guys!

After a great weekend, where we saw some old friends and made some great new ones, we’re back in action, bringing you the best in horror news, reviews, and merchandise that we can get to you!  With LCTV and LeglessCorpse Films we intend to continue to promote, produce, and distribute indie productions, and along with some of the good people we met this weekend, make 2015 a great year for horror fans!

Herb K. dropped by to say hello!

I also want to take this opportunity to give a shout out to YOU, our fans; y’see, on the way home, Chad’s truck crapped out on us, resulting in our being stranded.  A lot of you out there responded to our call, and your help got him back on the road and safely home.  We have no words to describe how grateful we are, and how appreciative we are of what a great bunch of people read our stuff and support us…so there it is:  we have the best fans we could ask for, and we thank you from the very bottoms of our hearts.

The Mouse...VP/co-owner of LC Films, Editor-In-Chief of LeglessCorpse.com...just your average guy with what is most likely an unhealthy affinity for horror movies, sci-fi, superheroes, bacon, old cartoons and horror movies. Oh, I almost forgot, I really dig horror movies; new ones, old ones, it matters not; I love 'em. Husband, father, veteran and scribbler. I like bacon as well. The Mouse abides 😉
