The Devil’s Rook – 2013

It was the ’80s style poster for The Demon’s Rook that initially caught my attention. I exclaimed, “Oh, s***! It’s Skeletor!” I had to watch the trailer and I’m glad that I did because this oddball horror flick is loaded with monsters and gruesome effects: creatures eating intestines, an axe impaling and a spinal column being torn out.

Mmmm, mmm GOOD!

Synopsis – “Chaos descends upon a quiet town when Roscoe unknowingly opens a portal that allows an unspeakable evil to travel freely into our world. When three demons cross into our dimension, the living are possessed and the dead rise to destroy everything in their path. Armed with magic, Roscoe is the only fighting chance to put an end to their path of destruction.”

The Demon’s Rook will be available on VoD September 30th.
