SUNDOWN – Horror/Slasher – Micro-budget project
Logline:
A local, haunted, drive-in theater becomes the gory battleground for the ultimate woman vs. herself fight.
REGAN (22) is trying to figure out who she is and how to live in the wake of her close brother’s death.
In the style of FRIDAY THE 13th, SUNDOWN is a throwback to the original slasher films but with depth to the story and characters.
With one location and a small cast this project is being developed from a genuine, bloody, horror passion to fill the gap between the traditional slasher film and the conventional Hero’s Journey.
SUNDOWN is ultimately the telling of a young woman battling her own fear, fear of identity, fear of mortality, and fear of being worthy.
