Horror novelist turned film director Asa Bailey (http://asabailey.com) is attempting to create a new cyclonic crowd funding model. I hear you, WTF is that supposed to mean. Well let me explain. Basically Asa has come with the idea of giving you a copy of his last film, as a perk, if you donate towards his next film.

I’ll say it again, you give him some of your hard earned cash to go towards him making his next film Dirty When Dead (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dirty-when-dead) and in return he’ll give you the password to watch his last film ‘Cream’. This idea could have legs. Hopefully bloody, mushy, stumpy ones, that take it far.

You may also be presently surprised with Asa’s films too, he’s no chump when comes to directing movies. His first film ‘Cream’ is a British Noir drama about PTSD and it has gained accolades from an Emmy Award judge and industry professionals. Asa has even directed Jackie Chan in a mini-blockbuster.

Asa lives in North Wales and unless you farm sheep or run a hotel, there is pretty much no other economy there. So Asa hopes by making films in and around North Wales he will drive economic opportunity. Can he do what Peter Jackson did for New Zealand or what Game of Thrones is doing for Ireland?

What about the film, Dirty When Dead?

Well according to Mr Bailey it’s “The Evil Dead’ and ‘The Devils Rejects’ meets the Brothers Grimm story of ‘Hansel and Gretel.’ The story starts after the international US climbing team have been locked away by a witch and her undead husband. So far so good, we like a good witch film.

Every day one of the unfortunate US climbing team members are let loose and hunted down by the killers. But, what sounds even more disturbing is that every night the undead husband who’s in his late 50’s makes love to his fat witch of wife who’s also knocking on 60. Now that is horror. Relief comes in the form of the very hot Ashley.

When it’s Ashley’s turn to run the couple get more than they bargained for. She’s fit, smart, and she is soon making her way through the woods ahead of the couples sick and twisted games. Eventually after a cat and mouse chase Ashley finds a hidden cabin in the woods. Here she uncover the couples grizzly family past.

The characters are original and Asa Bailey’s past form is proven. I’d say Dirty When Dead could shape up to be a surprising break out horror. That is if we all get behind it and chuck in a few bucks to help Asa make it.
