The V/H/S anthology has been an interesting concept with a few excellent shorts and many missed opportunities. “Safe Haven” has widely been praised by fans as reason enough to watch V/H/S/2. (Personally, I don’t think that “Alien Abduction Slumber Party” gets enough love.)
Announced to be behind the camera for the third entry in the franchise are Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead), Todd Lincoln (The Apparition), Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (Resolution), Marcel Sarmiento (The ABCs of Death) and Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes).
The shorts will be connected by “fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.” Oh, come on. I wanted more cops and robbers with Donnie Wahlberg rockin’ the badge.
I can’t be excited about something being created by a guy responsible for The Apparition. That being said, there is potential here – anybody that directs a film about dorks at prom battling the undead is cool with me.
Legless Corpse will update you as information becomes available. In the meantime, we have the image released from the film.
