Blood, death, a hellish freak, and an abandoned basement. A creepy horror feature film is coming soon, and the filmmakers have released their first trailer!
The Basement is an independent, high quality horror feature, directed and produced by Laszlo Illes.
“We’ve been working hard for a year and a half now to make this awesome movie happen“, says Illes. “Thanks to our supporters, we were able to finish principal photography in May, and we’re now working on the post-production. We have the final cut, and people are working on other necessary phases: ADR, Sound, Visual Effects, Coloring, and Music Composing. We’re very close to finishing the movie, and it it’s looking like we’ll have the final version by Christmas. Making this movie has been one of the best periods of my life.”
The super scary movie is about a group of international students who, after a huge house party, end up in a horrific basement. Officially, the place is supposed to have been abandoned for decades, but as they soon find out, mysteries, supernatural freaks, blood, and death awaits them. They try to escape at all costs, but things get worse every moment.

The Basement is an international co-production, with actors coming from the US, UK, Japan and Hungary. They are professional and very talented actors, like Caroline Boulton (Houdini, Dr. Who, Hercules, etc…), Richard Rifkin (The Martian, Hellboy II, Eragon), and Zalan Takacs (Spy, The Martian).
Almost every dollar of the movie’s budget has come from crowdfunding campaigns, so it seems a lot of people are waiting for the project. Now, they have a new campaign for post production, so if you love horror movies, independent filmmakers, or creepy but excellently crafted stories, don’t hesitate to secure a copy of the Limited Edition DVD or Blu-ray and grab some other perks and campaign exclusives!
