Alterna confirms that Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Noah Hathaway (The NeverEnding Story), and Bill Oberst Jr. (Criminal Minds) have confirmed their roles in the upcoming prison horror/thriller THE CHAIR.  Galligan and Hathaway will both be playing prison guards in the film which centers around an innocent man on death row and the psychotic and sadistic Warden (played by Bill Oberst Jr.) that runs the prison.

Peter Simeti, the executive Producer and creator of the graphic novel which the film will be based on, had this to say about his experience casting the film:

I couldn’t be happier with the actors we have on board.  Zach and Noah are both icons in their own right and Bill is a powerhouse actor that will bring his tremendous presence to this film. I think people are really going to enjoy it.”

Zach Galligan is best known for his role as Billy Peltzer in Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch.  Noah Hathaway is best known to audiences for his roles in Battlestar Galactica, The NeverEnding Story, and Troll.  Both actors are celebrating 30 year anniversaries of some of their most well-known works (Gremlins and The NeverEnding story).  Bill Oberst Jr. is an indie horror icon, starring in Circus of the Dead, Children of Sorrow, and the Daytime Emmy Award-winning interactive short Take this Lollipop.

The Mouse...VP/co-owner of LC Films, Editor-In-Chief of LeglessCorpse.com...just your average guy with what is most likely an unhealthy affinity for horror movies, sci-fi, superheroes, bacon, old cartoons and horror movies. Oh, I almost forgot, I really dig horror movies; new ones, old ones, it matters not; I love 'em. Husband, father, veteran and scribbler. I like bacon as well. The Mouse abides 😉
