BADGUY #2 Short Film Review: Gory, comic gold!

Organized criminals have to have their chain of command. You have the Big Boss, then you have his number one guy, then there has to be a number 2 guy right? Well BADGUY #2 is a film just about that guy. A random thug gets promoted to and of course he’s excited, it’s a pay scale upgrade, more responsibility, and of course the threat of death if he fucks anything up.
This short, written and directed by Chris McInroy, is a hilarious take on the mobster genre. In a lot of ways it reminded me of Johnny Dangerously, in it’s quirky over the top comedy and at times tips it’s hat to the horror genre. You can tell McInroy loves some blood. There are some disgusting FX in the film (just check out the trailer below) that makes it stand out not being another boring slap-stick comedy. In all honestly, the effects here are, in most cases, better than some in some big budget feature films.

The cast is great, they deliver their punch lines perfectly and in many cases made me laugh out loud.

Check this one out, it’s a great short that you will enjoy and one that you will not be able to talk about to your friends.
