Coming off the success of her short film The Art Of Unrequited Love in the festival circuit, ShanIyah Bernabela, the talented writer / director is now taking on her first feature film, The Art Of Letting Go, which the director teases to be a continuation of the short film.
“I wrote these films to bring light to unrequited love” Bernabela says. “I don’t believe people take the effects of it seriously enough. Whether it be a romantic or platonic relationship, feeling like you’re in it alone can really damage a person / make them feel like they aren’t good enough, and I don’t think people truly realize that. Therefore, my goal in writing these films is to make the effects of it more clear and hopefully change people’s perspective on the matter”.
Shaniyah Bernabela is a 22 year old actress and writer who recently graduated from the New York Film Academy’s acting for film program, and will be attending Rutgers University in the fall, Shaniyah fell in love with the arts at a very young age and hopes to one day inspire at least one person with her own art like she is inspired by others everyday.
The feature film is currently crowd funding via Indiegogo, which you can get involved in as an
Associate or Executive Producer.
